What We Are
Lardo is a modern sandwich shop and beer garden, serving classic Italian specialty fare. Chef Rick Gencarelli utilizes local and seasonal ingredients reflecting his Italian heritage and a life time of experience in modern fine dining and farm to table cuisine. Everything at Lardo, from the small batch lemoncello, to the eight hour, slow roasted porchetta, reflects our commitment to high quality, locally sourced, sustainable ingredients combined with a deep respect for traditional Italian flavors and food culture. Rick, along with the rest of the Lardo crew, is working to create a vibrant, accessible and memorable culinary experience at our new location here at 12th and Hawthorne. We are pairing Lardo sandwiches and an extensive selection of regional craft and classic Italian beer along with traditional Italian liquors and cocktails.
Our goal at Lardo is to create a destination for our neighbors; a space outside of your home or work place where you feel comfortable meeting old friends and spending time with family. We want to foster relationships with other members of the community through the time honored tradition of sharing food, drink and conversation. See you soon!
